For feeling nostalgic, I look at certain photos. Specifically, this photo taken in 2009 near one of France’s most iconic structures.
Outside the Louvre, a few steps away from I.M. Pei’s pyramid, stands this carefree woman I am finding hard recognizing now. Thinner, younger, and from the looks of it, happier, she, along with her posse of sisters, is playfully affecting a ridiculous twist on Marilyn Monroe’s famous “billowy dress” shot, enjoying the bliss of not knowing then what she knows now..
I miss her.
